Design for District Heating
Libero Cloud has been specifically engineered to meet the needs of district heating network operators, ensuring optimized control and increased efficiency.
The simple and intuitive interface provides a comprehensive overview of the system, with reporting tools, alarm notifications, and analysis functions for monitoring users and the network. These features are helpful in identifying inefficiencies or issues proactively.
Get full control of your district heating network
User registry
Clear and well-organized, this section allows you to input all identification codes for users and measurement devices, such as POD and PDR codes.
Remote reading
Remote reading of heat meters, flow meters, and metering boxes connected to the system. This includes automatic report generation and access to public APIs for integration with third-party management and billing software.
Remote management
Remote monitoring and control of district heating substations, with comprehensive and customizable parameter management via a Human Machine Interface (HMI) interface. This includes the ability to monitor and control small-scale production plants for various types of generators, such as methane boilers, cogenerators, and biomass plants
Make data-driven decisions
Monitoring
Monitoring and control of key network devices such as Pressure Meters, Differential (ΔP), Bypass Valves, and Network Loss Alarms
Data analysis
Analysis of data from Substations and the Network, with the aim of creating advanced and professional reports, aimed at evaluating and continuously improving the performance of the system.
Optimization
Advanced control of critical parameters such as return temperature, flow rate, and power, supervision of secondary pumps based on ΔT or ΔP to optimize system performance.
Interact with customers, operators and external systems
Alarm management
Active collection and management of alarms from substations and the network, ensuring constant and timely monitoring for efficient and safe system management
Customer portal
A dedicated section allows end customers to view their consumption details, with the network operator's ability to upload specific documents
Integration via API
Data exchange between different systems via APIs, to combine production plant management strategies with network and substation information, to maximize the efficiency of the entire system
With Libero Cloud your data is safe
Libero Cloud is designed to be always up-to-date and in line with the security standards required by current privacy regulations (GDPR) and cyber-security.
All data managed by the system is stored on firewall-protected systems with highly restrictive security policies, redundantly in High-Availability, and hosted at modern, highly secure data centers located within the European Union.
Continuous backups with point-in-time recovery (PITR) and periodic snapshots are crucial elements to ensure a high level of security and quick data recovery in case of need
The communications infrastructure
The regulators and meters communicate efficiently with Libero Cloud thanks to the local MTM Master gateway.
This gateway not only converts the field communication protocol to the cloud system, but also autonomously performs all the routines necessary for data collection and storage required by the system: this ensures optimal data flow management.
The local MTM Master gateway is capable of evaluating the connection quality to Libero Cloud servers and, in case of communication loss, storing the data locally until connectivity is restored without data loss.
Web connectivity between field devices and Libero Cloud can be achieved through specific components such as 4G Routers, ADSL, Fiber Optics, etc.
Additionally, data exchange security can be enhanced by enabling a Virtual Private Network (VPN) between the local MTM Master gateway and the cloud portal, so that web communications are made anonymously and securely
